We're here to explore the world of gardening together. I must admit I'm
a novice gardener having only purchased my home 3 years ago, but I am
learning fast and anxious to see my garden come to life again this year.
Here I'll share what I've learned through reading, experience and the
advice of gardeners far more experienced than me. I come from a family
of farmers so hopefully I inherited a bit of a green thumb.
I'll share my experiences as we go down the Magic Snail trail so that
all our visitors can learn from my successes and failures! Check the trail
for updates often as things are changing quickly since Spring has Sprung!

The Gate Incident
The seeds that
my mom and I have started under lights are growing like crazy. The tomatos
already needed potting up. Two geranium "splish splash" came
up and were ready to be potted up too. They are so cute. Lots of other
stuff popping up all over the place too, even some tiny pepper sprouts
and a dwarf salmon canna.
My Aunt Ginny was here for Spring Break & Easter weekend and we had
a great time shopping at a garden center in Georgia and digging and weeding
in the garden. She was a tremendous help to me and it was so much fun
having her here. I hope she'll come back soon. We planted 11 roses while
she was here. They aren't looking too great right now but I'm still holding
out hope for them. I'll give them some fish emulsion with their water
tomorrow.

May 31 2004 - We cleaned the carpet,
put the crib together and hung the canopy and put his little dresser
and hamper in. We also got him a rug! I should say that Wendy did most
of these things :)
She also hung up his shelf and shadowbox.
May 29, 2004 - Baby Walter is on the way so we've been working on his
room. Wendy did some fantastic murals for him. Mom painted Winnie the
Pooh and Samantha painted in the Dumbo mural. Here are some pictures:

Spring 2003 - Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I updated

I made a new gallery with a slideshow, however this one for some reason
has duplicates in it but I didn't realise it until I had already processed
the gallery, slideshow and everything... so for now we'll live with

- So many things are blooming around here. My Zepherine Drouhin rose has
been my favorite so far. I put up some new pictures for Devan and Aunt
Ginny to see how my garden is doing. You

April 11, 2002 - Well, after a slow start my Spring bulbs really started
blooming. I was a little disappointed in the tulips, but I think it must
not have been cold enough this winter for their taste. I still had some
nice ones though and some late ones still coming out. I think I might
have even planted some May flowering type. My favorite thing so far are
